Throughout the semester I have noticed that i have achieved the course learning objectives. And I will discuss in what ways my perceptions on what science writing and language/dialects have evolved this semester. When it comes to the informative review, position papers and proposal research/presentation it all comes with a purpose, audience and structure style for each of the science genre. Starting off with the informative review and its purpose, Informative reviews provide a comprehensive and critical overview of existing research, theories, or knowledge on a specific scientific topic. Secondly are the position papers, position papers present a persuasive argument and stance on a scientific issue or policy, which aim to influence decision makers and stakeholders. And lastly is the propsal for research/ presentation, the goals, procedures, and relevance of a scientific study are described in research proposals and presentations, which also include a funding request or a thorough explanation of the methodology and results of the study.

    My perceptions on what science writing and laguage/dialects have definitely evolved this semester, and i got to learn to how properly convey an essay and incorporate scientific evidence into my writing. I was able to combine both english and science into my writing and was able to write stronger essays. I would say that i have achieved the course objectives this semester and have completed all that ive had to do and have revised any feedback. To promote diversity, accessibility, and correct depiction of various cultures while writing about science, science writers should take into account linguistic disparities and systemic racism. I addressed these difficulties in my informative review paper by adding linguistic considerations, taking into account cultural viewpoints, and talking about how institutionalized racism could affect the creation and distribution of scientific information. I discovered that environmental, social equity, and environmental justice problems are all included in the concept of sustainability. In my position paper, I used techniques like definitions, an explanation of how these ideas are related, and cited instances to make my point. By taking into account the consequences for environmental justice, social fairness, and sustainability, these techniques helped me choose alternative energy solutions for NYC. The group sustainability PSA project presented difficulties in terms of scheduling, incorporating creative concepts, and maintaining clear communication. By creating roles and, using project management tools, keeping open and regular communication, and aggressively seeking agreement, we were able to overcome these difficulties. I performed a thorough literature analysis to identify gaps in the current research and thought about the potential practical consequences of the study to find a niche for my research proposal on the effect of technology on children’s development. Additionally, I utilized online resources, government databases, and scholarly journals specific to the field of child development and technology. And when it comes to the peer review process i think it definetly did have purpose because classmates were able to be honest about what they thought of their classmates work which is important and they were able to see it from other perspectives then a professor may see it in. 

    I would use plain language, give background knowledge, and describe technical terms to acclimate the audience to the cloning issue while noting institutional racism in science. Additionally, I would include instances that illustrate how systemic racism has impacted the development of scientific knowledge. For te PSA project The overall presentation should be visually appealing and attention grabbing, capturing the audience’s interest and effectively conveying the message. Diagrams, tables, photos, and narratives may all be used in VoiceOver presentations to break down complicated ideas, improve comprehension, and give visual representations of data or processes. These techniques can help the audience get more familiar with the science topic. 

   In conclusion my my perceptions on what science writing and language/dialects have evolved this semester and have gotten lots of insight and information in completing all assignments and projects.
